Ohio Northern University has jumped from No. 4 to No. 2 US News & World Report's Best Midwest Regional Colleges list for 2024, making it #1 in Ohio. The University also ranks highly in other key categories, including 3rd (first in Ohio) in regional Best Value Schools, No. 12 in electrical/electronics/communications, and No. 23 nationally and No. 1 in Ohio for undergraduate engineering programs (no. Ph.D.); The rankings, long considered a valuable tool for families undergoing the college decision-making process, reinforce ONU's position as a premier institution for affordable, distinctive learning.
A total of 370 schools were ranked in the Best Regional Colleges Midwest category. All US News & World Report rankings assess academic quality.

US News & World Report uses a 100-point system that takes into account evaluation criteria such as graduate debt, student-faculty ratio, standardized tests and retention rates.
