A new HCA Midwest Health medical plaza recently opened in the south Overland Park Corbin Park retail center at the corner of 138th Street and Metcalf Avenue.
The new 30,000-square-foot medical office building is located at 13801 Metcalf Ave.
“This location puts us in the heart of Johnson County in the bustling new Corbin Park area, allowing our providers to do what they do best: provide the best care to everyone in our community,” Phil Buttell, CEO of the Medical Center Menorah by HCA. he said at the ribbon cutting for the new medical plaza last week.
Tracy Osborne Oltjen, president and CEO of the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce, said “quality health care” facilities like this help attract new businesses and new residents to Johnson County.
“You want to be in good health, and that means having convenient, quality health care from prenatal to the oldest among us,” he said Thursday.
Corbin Park HCA Medical Plaza has two primary providers
- The building offers family health care on the first floor Family Health Medical Group.
- It also has specialized women's healthcare services on the second floor from Town Plaza Women's Health.
- An additional 1,000 square feet of medical space on the upper level will house more clinical space for other specialists.
South Overland Park's medical plaza could be developed
- During a ribbon cutting for the new facility last week, Eric Carmichael, managing director of Medcraft Healthcare Real Estate, flagged plans to expand the medical plaza footprint at Corbin Park.
- He said there is a master plan for that campus that will help it “expand as the community continues to grow.”
- Exactly what it would look like and what services could be provided in an expanded plaza is unclear.
