The Shops of Prairie Village is now home to three new medical practices, including a women's and family health clinic and a “medical concierge” concept where patients can receive personalized care at a great value.
The new practices are located in the same building on the second floor of the renovated US Bank building at 6936 Mission Road.
Known as Town Plaza HCA Midwest Healthpractices officially opened on Wednesday.
There is both a family practice and a women's practice
- Laurie Fisher, a physician at Town Plaza Family Practice, said at a grand opening event Wednesday that her patients range in age from 24 to over 100.
- Laura Parks, one of four doctors now based at Town Plaza Women's Health, said the practice aims to empower girls and women to educate themselves about their bodies and have control and authority over their bodies.
- The women's health clinic occupies half of the second-floor medical plaza building and offers services related to menopause management, sexually transmitted disease counseling, genetic testing and contraception, Parks said.
The new clinic will pilot HCA's 'pharmacy concierge' service
- Christopher Ehly, a physician with more than 20 years of experience, is the head of Town Plaza's Concierge Medicine service.
- For an annual fee of $1,800, the concierge practice provides patients with standard primary care as well as more personalized services.
- This includes 24/7 access to Ehly, same-day or next-day appointments, personalized diet and exercise plans, and an annual hour-and-a-half physical.
- “It's that access to a provider is timely and a deeper dive into what makes you well, that's my view (on concierge medicine),” Ehly said.
There is also an urgent care clinic next door
- HCA Midwest Helath's CareNow Urgent Care Clinic at Prairie Village Shops is located two doors down from the new medical plaza.
- It offers an online booking system and can take patients who have the flu, injuries, rashes and more.
- An animal hospital, not affiliated with HCA, is also located between the urgent care clinic and the HCA Midwest Health Medical Town Plaza.
