Construction is underway on a new 30,000-square-foot medical plaza in south Overland Park.
HCA Midwest is building a new two-story medical plaza at the corner of 138th and Metcalf.
The facility is scheduled to open in early summer or late fall.
The medical plaza will focus on family care and women's health
- The family health center will occupy the first floor and the women's health center on the second floor.
- The first floor will have 24 exam rooms, a laboratory, procedure rooms, imaging equipment and a staff of five family physicians, one advanced practice nurse and one physician assistant.
- The second floor will have nine exam rooms, a laboratory and two rooms with ultrasound equipment, as well as a staff of three gynecologists.
The facility will open in Corbin Park
- In total, the facility will occupy two acres — with another two acres earmarked for future medical development on the property.
- The medical plaza will operate on the west end of the mall, off Metcalf Avenue.
- The facility will be adjacent to Life Time Fitness and the CareNow Urgent Care center, which HCA Midwest also owns.
Another medical facility recently opened in Corbin Park
- The University of Kansas Health System also opened a new clinic in the Overland Park South Mall on March.
- The clinic offers primary care and treatment services.
- Petco and KPOT Korean BBQ and Hot Pot also recently opened in the mall.
