CareNow® Urgent Care today announced the opening of a new clinic at 3509 SW Market St., Lee's Summit, MO. Part of HCA Healthcare, one of the nation's largest healthcare providers, CareNow operates more than 200 urgent care locations across the country. CareNow is also part of HCA Midwest Health, the largest health care provider in the Kansas City area.
“The Lee's Summit community is experiencing tremendous growth. And increasingly, people want access to health care services closer to where they live, work and play,” said HCA Midwest Health President Keith Zimmerman. “The addition of this new urgent care clinic will complement the already strong health care network in this community anchored at Lee's Summit Medical Center and help us provide easier access to high-quality, compassionate health care for our patients.” “
CareNow Urgent Care clinics offer quick care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, such as sprains and strains, minor burns, coughs, sore throats and flu symptoms — as well as physicals, immunizations, general diagnostic tests and exams. The clinics also provide occupational medicine services to local employers, including examination and treatment of injured workers in workers' compensation cases, preventive examinations and drug tests.
“We are pleased to be a part of the fabric of the Lee's Summit community,” said CareNow Urgent Care Medical Director Mary Devers, MD. “Like other CareNow Urgent Care locations throughout the region, the Lee's Summit South clinic will provide our patients with expanded parking, increased clinic space and will allow CareNow physicians and staff to provide an enhanced patient experience. CareNow addresses non-emergency medical problems that may develop unexpectedly and require immediate attention, complementing services provided by primary care physicians and emergency hospitals.
“Whether it's a minor injury or an illness, patients want immediate, convenient care, and we designed the clinic with that in mind.
CareNow services include family medicine, on-site lab work and x-rays, occupational medicine, physicals, flu shots, sports physicals and COVID testing. With virtual care, patients can see a highly skilled provider from the comfort of their own home. Walk-ins are welcome and patients can save time by using Web Check-In® on CareNow.com to wait at home or anywhere until it's time to see their provider.
This is the second CareNow Urgent Care clinic to open in the Lee's Summit community, the first located at 228 NW Oldham Parkway. This addition is one of HCA Midwest Health's many investments in Lee's Summit to meet the growing needs of the community, said Lee's Summit Medical Center CEO John McDonald.
“We are excited to welcome Lee's Summit South CareNow Clinic to the fold,” said McDonald. “With new facilities like this and a planned advanced surgery center, as well as such investments on our hospital campus as our expanded Intensive Care Unit, we are building healthier tomorrows for the families, friends and neighbors who depend on us for care”.
Additional CareNow Urgent Care locations in the Kansas City area include Belton, Blue Springs, Corbin Park Independence, Lenexa, Olathe, Overland Park, Prairie Village, Raytown and State Line Road.
