ST. PAUL, MINN. – Midwest Dairy introduced its new CEO, Corey Scott. The checkoff agency said Scott, who replaces retiring CEO Molly Pelzer, started her new position at the company on March 13.
Previously vice president of sales and marketing for Athian, Scott's experience also includes more than 15 years in various leadership positions with Land O'Lakes and its sustainability division, Truterra LLC.
GreenBiz named Scott one of 12 Women Growing Sustainable Food Systems in 2023. She also received the US Dairy Sustainability Award for her work to reduce the overall environmental footprint of dairy products.
“I am honored to serve as CEO of Midwest Dairy and work on behalf of dairy farmers throughout our 10-state region,” said Scott. “I have worked with dairy farmers throughout my career and am always impressed by the passion they show for their cows, the environment and our communities. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to lead such a respected organization and support the hard work of both staff and farmers.”
Scott earned her MBA and undergraduate degrees from the University of Minnesota and the Carlson School of Business.
Midwest Dairy represents 4,400 dairy farms and is funded by farmers from the 10-state region of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma.
