(4-4-24) Twelve high school seniors of the area were awarded a Scholarship for children of members from Midwest Electric. Two first-place students received $1,500, two second-place students received $1,000, two third-place students received $750, and six honor students received $500 each toward their college education.

Sarah Sheppard, Parkway Middle Schoolplans to attend Rhodes State and study Physical Therapy.
Ty Post, High School of St. Henry, plans to attend the University of Toledo and major in Electrical Engineering. Ty was also selected as the top contender and will participate in a statewide competition held by Ohio Electric Cooperatives in Columbus on April 16th.

Touchstone Energy Achievement Scholarship – Trade School or Technical College, $1,500
The 1,500 dollars Touchstone Energy Achievement Scholarship he was a winner Jetta VanGundy from St. Marys Memorial High School. The scholarship is awarded to a student who will attend a trade or technical school after high school. After graduation, Jetta plans to attend Marion Technical College and study Diagnostic Medical Imaging.
