Midwest Health officials are warning about the current increase in multiple viruses this winter.
The HSE is urging every eligible person to get their flu and COVID-19 vaccinations as a matter of urgency amid concerns about an expected looming increase in winter viruses.
Only 10% of people who are immunocompromised have had the COVID-19 vaccine this winter, while less than 12% of healthcare workers employed by the HSE have taken advantage of the autumn booster.
HSE Midwest Director of Public Health Dr Mai Mannix says the health organization wants to be better prepared than ever this winter.
