Education Minister Norma Foley has announced €2.6 million in funding for primary, post-primary and special schools across Mayo.
This funding aims to support digital learning in schools and small building works.
A total of €50 million has been allocated as ICT grants to all recognized primary and post-primary schools across the country.
Separately, €29 million will be allocated for secondary work in primary and secondary schools.
Commenting on the allocation, Minister Foley said:
“I am delighted to announce funding today which will support primary, post-primary and special schools in Mayo and across Ireland to improve both the school environment and teaching and learning, for the benefit of our students and pupils.
“The ICT grant funding will support schools to ensure they can continue to integrate the use of digital technologies into their teaching, learning and assessment.”
