CASPER, Wyo. — The Natrona County School District Board of Trustees' Infrastructure Planning Committee has released its recommended list of major maintenance projects for the 2023–24 fiscal year.
The list, totaling $3,682,000 in proposed costs, is the result of collaborative efforts between Project Manager Doug Tunison, school district maintenance staff and staff from individual schools.
The NCSD Board of Trustees is set to discuss the list at its regularly scheduled meeting this afternoon.
Here are some highlights from the extensive list:
- Evansville leads the budget allocation with projects that include a $400,000 replacement and upgrade for its fire protection system and a $250,000 budget to repair or replace the cases.
- Centenary the school is to allocate $200,000 to repair the fire sprinkler system throughout its facilities.
- Midwest focuses on improving stadium lighting with a budget of $350,000, which includes 10% improvement funding.
- Park asks for $200,000 to replace boilers.
The various projects include major replacements and repairs, including door access control systems, playground fall material replacements, fire suppression system upgrades and more.
The projects, if funded by the Major Maintenance Funds, are expected to strengthen the overall infrastructure and security measures of the area's facilities.
