Conservation groups have filed another challenge to a federal land swap needed to complete a 102-mile transmission line that promises to connect more than 160 renewable energy projects in the Upper Midwest.
The land swap approved by the Interior Department last month violates the National Environmental Policy Act, the National Wildlife Refuge System Improvement Act and the Administrative Procedure Act, the groups wrote in a treatment was filed late Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.
