For the third straight year and seventh time in the past eight seasons, NHRA and World Wide Technology Raceway officials have announced a sellout crowd for Saturday's qualifying action at the NHRA Midwest Nationals.
Dedicated fans once again packed the St. Louis facility during the final two rounds of qualifying on Saturday as the massive crowd enjoyed an action-packed day of racing during the third race of the NHRA Countdown to the Championship playoffs.
Except for the 2020 COVID season, World Wide Technology has hosted a Saturday sale every season since 2016 as St. Louis continues to be a hotbed for NHRA drag racing.
“Today's sale of reserved seats at World Wide Technology Raceway is a testament to the continued support of St. Louis and the Metro East racing community,” said Chris Blair, WWTR Executive Vice President and General Manager. “Year after year, our fans prove that this region is one of the greatest racing regions in the United States. They love NHRA drag racing and know this event always offers top-of-your-seat excitement.”
It is the eighth sellout crowd for the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series during the 2023 season, having previously announced capacity crowds in Gainesville, Phoenix, Denver and Reading.
Qualifying for the 12th annual NHRA Midwest Nationals begins at 11:00 am. CT on Sunday at World Wide Technology Raceway.
