Purdue University Northwest (PNW) has earned recognition for many undergraduate programs and social mobility in the US News & World Report's The annual Best Colleges 2024 rankings, published on Monday, September 18.
PNW is named a top regional university in the Midwest and is ranked 33rd among public institutions. Among Midwest regional universities, PNW also ranks top in social mobility, a category that measures how well a university graduates Pell Grant recipients.
PNW earned extra points for its quality undergraduate programs in Engineering, Nursing, Psychology and Computer Science.

Holford. “PNW is the region's leading metropolitan university, where students and their faculty mentors go beyond the classroom with real-world experiences and applications to deliver meaningful change for Northwest Indiana. A PNW education is incredibly valuable in improving student career outcomes and the subsequent energy investment in the future of our surrounding communities.”

Highly ranked academic programs
PNW's School of Engineering was ranked 58th nationally among engineering schools whose highest degrees are a bachelor's or master's degree.
PNW's Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program was named 86th nationally among the best undergraduate nursing programs, moving up 49 spots from last year's ranking. PNW's College of Nursing has been designated a Center of Nursing Excellence by the National Nursing Association.
PNW's undergraduate program in Computer Science was also recognized. PNW's Psychology program is named after him US News & World Report's best undergraduate psychology programs
