For the 12th time in the last 13 years, Taylor University was ranked number one in the Midwest in the US News & World Report overview, America's Best Colleges. The Taylor rank is displayed in the category Best Regional Colleges-Midwest. It's also the 23rd consecutive year that Taylor has been ranked among the top three in the region.
Criteria used by US news they include graduation and retention rates, peer review of excellence, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources, graduation rate performance, and graduate supply.
Completing the top five in the Midwest region were: Cottey College (Missouri) (2), College of the Ozarks (Missouri) (3), Dordt (Iowa) (4) and Ohio Northern University (Ohio) (5).
Among the top 10 institutions in the Midwest region, Taylor ranked first in retention rate, projected and actual graduation rates, and peer review scores. Taylor's ranking was also influenced by its ability to attract students from the top 25 percent of their respective graduating classes and its high graduation rate.
Taylor was also among many US news escort categories including: The most innovative, Top performers in social mobility, Best Undergraduate Teachingand Best Value Schools.
