ELKHART — The 45th “Elkhart Juried Regional” continues through Dec. 22 at the Midwest Museum of American Art, 429 S. Main St.
The Elkhart Juried Regional is a major survey of contemporary trends by artists from 20 northern Indiana counties and four southern Michigan counties.
This year, 217 artists submitted 380 works in all media for consideration by the jury. The exhibition presents 164 works of art by 147 artists.
Prizes awarded this year totaled over $20,000, making the Elkhart Juried Regional the largest cash prize show in Michiana.
Mark Ruschman, curator emeritus of arts and culture at the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites in Indianapolis, served as a juror.
Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Admission is $10-$6.
