The Princeton Review ranks SIU among the best in the Midwest
CARBONDALE, Ill. — Southern Illinois University Carbondale is one of the best universities in the Midwest, according to the Princeton Review's “Best of the Midwest” feature.
The university is one of 158 Midwestern colleges and universities selected by the education services company. The Princeton Review's 2023 Best Regional Colleges make up just 23% of the nation's four-year colleges. From hundreds of institutions reviewed in each region, The Princeton Review chose these schools primarily for their outstanding academics. It also weighed in on what students who attended the schools reported about their experiences on campus.
The colleges selected by The Princeton Review for the 2023 “Best in the Midwest” list are located in 12 states: Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin .
